Sports marketing research and marketing management

Mercer University students gained hands-on experience in sports marketing through a yearlong baseball sports marketing course I lead in Fall 2022-Spring 2023. In this course, students conducted marketing research, targeted students and the local community, and developed marketing plans, resulting in successful initiatives such as game theme nights and outside events to promote Mercer baseball games.

Time magazine feature

A recent collaboration with Sarah Lefebvre, PhD and Jonathan Hasford, PhD, about the effect of ambient lighting on taste perceptions was featured in Time Magazine. This work, which was also featured in the Daily Mail, suggests that dim lighting enhances the flavor of single-dimension foods due to sensory compensation.

Helping rwandan women entrepreneurs

In Fall 2021-Spring 2022, I developed and taught a yearlong course at Mercer University which collaborated with a team of Rwandan genocide survivors to generate profits for the women through online sales and pop-up shops, which showcased unique, brightly colored products. I also co-lead a student team to win the SoCon Entrepreneurship Challenge to raise funds for the Rwanda project.
