Teaching
I am committed to excellence in teaching and I constantly seek to build on and refine my skills as an educator. Throughout my own education I benefited from outstanding teachers and I hope to impact my own students through my three main objectives: 1.) helping students develop critical thinking skills, 2.) engaging and motivating students to become active participants in their own learning processes, and 3.) aiding in the connection of course concepts with real-world examples.
Marketing strategy
After taking courses in Principles of Marketing, Consumer Behavior, Marketing Research, and Marketing Management, students are ready to use this knowledge to formulate marketing strategy and make important marketing decisions. This course explores marketing problems and teaches students to develop strategies. This requires creative thinking, ability to crunch numbers, and, of course, critical decision-making skills. Besides applying the theoretical concepts have learned in other marketing courses, this course emphasizes teamwork, management of deadline-oriented projects, and the ability to document and present work effectively.

“Professor Boman taught the class very well and is very interactive with her students.”
Digital media marketing
This course is designed to provide students with an overview of the digital media landscape and teach students how to use it in business. Through the use of real-world examples, students gain first-hand knowledge of how to address marketing issues and handle client projects. Much of the work is Internet- and project-based. In addition to applying theoretical concepts learned in other marketing courses, this course emphasizes group work, management of deadline-oriented projects, and the ability to document and present work effectively. At the end of this course, students are ready to take on real-world digital marketing challenges as a marketing professional. Students leave with a LinkedIn profile, blog and personal website, and experience with Internet marketing, e-commerce, evaluating analytics, and public speaking.

“I really enjoyed the group project. I think the Professor did a great job of pushing her students to utilize what we are learning, not just reading and taking tests. I love the open forum format. This style encourages learning and engagement with students. Awesome! If I could take this class again, I definitely would.”
“The class requirements were very straightforward and realistic. The professor was always responsive and desired to help students whenever possible.”
“I loved the material for the course! My absolute favorite class!”
One of my former students, Om Dabhi, recently sent me a surprise video. It meant so much to me that he spent the time to make this video and send it to me. Om was one of my best students in Digital Media Marketing; he shows great passion for everything that he does, and that is apparent in the work that he produces. It was incredibly meaningful to receive this video from Om, and if anyone is looking for a Realtor, please reach out to him. I know he will do great things.
